The use of the church and the service of the minister is free for anyone in the parish who would like to have a Christian service of Remembrance.

This can include readings, prayers and blessing as well as music and song. But at the heart of it all is remembering before God the person we have lost to death.

Remembering well the life of someone we love is at the centre of a funeral service. But sometimes our heart knows more than we can easily find words to say. Often grief is a wind that scatters the leaves of remembering in all directions. The minister will help catch some of those leaves to guide, shape and bring us closer to remembering well the person we have loved and lost.

We trust that every life is loved by God without exception. That’s what Jesus has shown us. And our care of those who are bereaved and remembering those they love, seeks to express that truth.
